Just 40km from George Airport, Mossel Bay is conveniently linked with the rest of the world without being right in the thick of the rat race!
If you fancy a night out, the Garden Route casino is a few kilometres up the road and offers superb dining.
It will take you on a trip along the coast in true Mossel Bay style - taking about 2 hours each way! - not to be missed.
Based on the Indian Ocean side of Cape Town, we are purported to have just about the best all-year-round climate of anywhere in the world (second only to Hawaii !!!) In the heart of the Garden Route, Mossel Bay is famous as both a tourist destination and a place to retire and live life in the slow lane.
There is something for everyone - if you like the beach, there are several to choose from where you can sunbathe, enjoy some fishing from the rocks, or go surfing! 
Enjoy a trip around seal island on the Ramonza (a passenger vessel which operates all year round!) - or take a trip down to the Bartholomew Diaz museum in town - where a full size replica of Diaz's ship is on show for you to board and explore!
Whale watching is another attraction in the autumn months, when you can see the southern-right whales frolicking in the bay with their young.
If golf is your sport, there is a superb 18 hole golf course at Mossel Bay - the slogan is 'See the Sea from Every Tee' - and you really can. You can also enjoy a refreshing drink in the club house afterwards where you will be amazed by the 180 degree view from the balcony - view the whole of the bay and the Outeniqua mountains beyond.
There is also a train which runs twice daily from Mossel Bay through to George - but don't take it if you're in a hurry!!!
